The Odd Fellow at the Beach

by Jedidiah Fleming

“Walk with me, and be fishers of men!”
He said with a grin as they gathered to him
On the shore beside some reeds.

But he looked at me and leaned my way,
And said, “Child, lay those nets away;
For you’ll be my sower of seeds.”
