Politics is an illusion based on a stronger illusion; much like organized religion. Which is why they both sink into shifting sands. The grand illusion fades ever so slowly. The illusion’s illusions decay very quickly.
But sometimes we’re impatient and it seems they don’t fade quickly enough.
